1000 Miles to Act For Wildlife

If you know one thing about me, you will know how much I love animals. My friends call me the Crazy Cat Lady and my perfect day would be spent in the company of pets and wildlife.

Coming from the North West, I have spent many days out at Chester Zoo. There is always something new and different to see. I’ve visited many Zoos around the UK, but the one thing I love most about Chester is how happy the animals seem to be, and how much conservation work the team are doing.

Act For Wildlife are an organisation led by Chester Zoo who are making a difference to wildlife around the world. You can read more about their work on their website.

My challenge is to walk at least 1000 miles within 12 months. Starting from 1st January 2017 to 31st December 2017, I will be including all walking miles, from walking at work to weekend walks and days out. I will be recording the miles mostly on my Fitbit and occasionally on my iPhone Health app and keep track of the miles on a database, which I will also update on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and of course on here.

Follow me on Instagram and Twitter for regular updates on walks and mile counts and photos from previous visits of Chester Zoo. I will post stories of how Act for Wildlife help animals around the world on this website.

Now here is the part where I ask for your donations. I am starting this off by setting a target of £100 as I have no idea how this will end. I really hope to raise a lot more than £100 and your donations will motivate me to get out there and do this challenge for animals. No matter how big or small your donation may be, it will all go towards helping wildlife on our planet.
